1. If I miss the coach, can I simply travel on the next one?
Missed departures will result in forfeiture of fare and a new full fare will need to be purchased for travel.

2. Can I cancel or change my trip and receive a full refund?
Fares are non-refundable, non-transferrable and non-changeable unless upgrading to a Red Arrow Departure on the same date of travel.  Once upgraded, Red Arrow fares also become non-refundable.  Missed departures will result in forfeiture of fare and a new full fare will need to be purchased for travel.

3. Do I need ID or a ticket when traveling on Ebus?
You do not require a ticket as your name will be on our manifest when you check in. We reserve the right to check identification at any time.

4. Does Ebus allow the consumption of alcoholic beverages or smoking on board?
For everyone’s safety, smoking and alcoholic beverages are not permitted on Ebus. Passengers that are deemed intoxicated will not be permitted to board. ebus reserves the right to check any bags that are brought on-board at any time. In addition, any passengers caught with alcohol or smoking on board the coach will be ejected immediately. FARE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.

5. What is the minimum age that a child can travel alone on Ebus?
Children 13 years of age or older are able to travel alone. All children 12 years old and younger must be accompanied by a guardian 13 years of age or older. Proof of age of unaccompanied children and/or guardians must be provided at time of boarding.

9. What information should I have ready when calling Ebus?
The city you will be departing from, destination of your trip, date of departure, and time of departure. Please have your name, address, and credit card ready at time of booking.

10. Do I have to book my trip in advance?
Advance bookings are highly recommended to guarantee yourself a seat on the date you wish to travel.

11. How far in advance must I arrive before departure?
You should arrive at least 20 minutes prior to departure. Specific seats are not reserved, only your departure time and date are reserved. The actual seat location is on a first-come, first-served basis.  Departures will not be held or delayed for last minute arrivals

12. If I need a ticket at the last minute, can I pay the driver cash?
Yes, if there are seats available. You must have exact cash because the drivers do not carry change. If you plan to purchase your ticket just before departure, it is recommended to arrive at least 20 minutes early.  Departures will not be held or delayed for last minute arrivals.

13. Is it possible to purchase a ticket in Red Deer?
Yes.  We have a desk inside the Radisson Hotel where you can purchase a ticket.  If staff is not available to purchase a ticket, you can still purchase a ticket directly from the driver with either cash, or credit card.  Drivers cannot accept debit cards.  If paying with cash please have exact change.

14. What amenities are on the Ebus?
Ebus  is equipped with lap belts, wireless internet, 110V power outlets, a washroom, and extra leg room.

15. Can I connect to a Red Arrow coach if I’m travelling on Ebus?
Yes you can! Please call our customer care line at 1-877-7my-ebus (769-3287) for more information on city arrival and departure connection times with Red Arrow.

16. Can my child sit on my lap?
Any child 2 years of age or older must purchase a separate seat. Newborns to 23 months of age may sit on a parent’s lap at no charge.

17. Can I bring a child’s car seat on-board?
If you wish to seat your child in their car seat next to you on-board the motorcoach, you will also be required to pay the fare for the coach seat occupied by the child's car seat. If the car seat is not being used, it must be placed underneath the coach.

18. Are pets allowed on board?
We will only accept a service animal that has all the proper documentation. If travelling with a service animal, please ensure you have the appropriate paperwork with you.

19. How many pieces of luggage can I bring on Ebus?
Passengers travelling on Ebus are allowed three (3) pieces of luggage in total, including carry-on items (2 max).  All carry-on bags must be able to fit in the overhead compartment. This includes bags, strollers, purses, duffle bags, etc. The maximum number of pieces allowed on either service is six (6).  Baggage may not be stored under the seat, or in the aisle. All extra items will be charged at $10.00 per piece (GST included). The number of extra pieces may be limited due to space constraints.

20. What are your baggage liability restrictions?
Maximum baggage liability is $350.00. Any damage must be reported to Ebus within 24 hours or claim may be refused.

21. Can I bring my bicycle?
Bikes may be transported with you while you travel on the coach. Bikes can only be accepted from our Edmonton Ticket Office and Calgary Downtown Ticket Office. The fee is $15.00 and in an effort to protect our passengers' luggage, the bike must either: 1) be packed inside a cardboard box, or 2) be wrapped in bubble wrap or a blanket that is securely fastened.

22. Can I bring my ski/snowboard equipment?
Skis, boots and poles must be in a bag or bound together. Snowboards must also be in a bag. They are considered one (1) piece of luggage and, as such, will be subject to the extra luggage charge of $10.00 per piece (GST included) if the maximum is exceeded.

23. Can I bring my golf clubs?
You can bring your golf clubs as long as the clubs are wrapped or covered. They are considered one (1) piece of luggage and, as such, will be subject to the extra luggage charge of $10.00 per piece (GST included) if the maximum is exceeded.

24. If I require a wheelchair or scooter, can I travel on Ebus?
Ebus is not equipped with wheelchair lifts. However, if you are transferable, able to walk up 8 steps on the coach on your own, and your wheelchair or scooter is able to be folded and be easily stored  under the coach, you may travel on Ebus.

25. Can my attendant travel with me at a reduced price?
If you have a wheelchair, are visually impaired, or require regular assistance due to a medical condition, an attendant that is fully capable of providing assistance to you can travel at no charge.


A disabled passenger is defined as:

A senior who is disabled due to age or a passenger who is legally disabled and has proof of disability such as a CNIB card, an AISH stub or a Handibus number.

 

An attendant is defined as:

Someone who is physically capable of assisting the passenger in all aspects of their trip. This includes helping them to board the coach, assisting the driver in lifting them aboard (if necessary), getting to or from a washroom at a station stop or on-board the coach, and assisting the passenger off of the coach in the case of a breakdown or emergency. The attendant may not be a child, a senior that requires assistance or another disabled person.

26. What is the maximum seat capacity on Ebus?
There are 48 seats in total. 12 rows of double seats on either side of the coach.

27. Does Ebus stop at the Calgary International Airport?
Ebus does not stop at the Calgary International Airport.  Connections to the airport can be made by Taxi from our Calgary North Office

28. Is there any available overnight or day parking when I travel with Ebus?
There is no available day or overnight parking for Ebus passengers at the pickup and drop off locations.  There are public pay parking lots across the street from the downtown Edmonton & next to the downtown Calgary locations.

29. I am travelling from CrossIron Mills.  Where can I park?
You may park your car at CrossIron Mills during the day.  However, overnight parking is not allowed.
