Ebus is thrilled to announce that we’re expanding our services and adding a new route between Edmonton and Grande Prairie. The service will launch with departures four times per week out of both cities, starting next Friday, May 20. Ebus will depart from Grande Prairie at 9:30 am southbound and will depart Edmonton Downtown at 6:00 pm, arriving back in Grande Prairie at approximately 11:00 pm.
The Grande Prairie to Edmonton return trip on the same day will allow Grande Prairie residents improved access to medical appointments, business meetings, social and family visits, tourism, and/or educational opportunities. Our Grande Prairie pick-up and drop-off will be conveniently located at the Podollan Inn and Spa, and the stops will include Valleyview, Fox Creek, Whitecourt, Mayerthorpe, and Edmonton at our Downtown location in the Holiday Inn Express.
“Grande Prairie has been the number one requested destination by passengers and the public, so we’re thrilled to be able to answer their call and introduce Ebus as the newest, easy, economical, and environmentally-friendly travel option in the peace region,” says Raelene Miller, VP of Motorcoach. “Grande Prairie holds a special place for us since our sister brand, Red Arrow, had service prior to the pandemic, and we’re excited to once again become a part of the community.”
“Folks in northern and rural Alberta are particularly affected by accessibility, and we’re pleased to serve the needs of the residents in these communities,” says John Stepovy, Director of Motorcoach. “Especially at a time when gas prices might be affecting people’s travel decisions. Furthermore, it gives passengers an opportunity to connect to the broader Ebus network throughout Alberta and BC, as well as to our Red Arrow network that includes destinations such as Fort McMurray, Red Deer, Calgary, and Lethbridge.”
Ebus offers state-of-the-art Prevost Motorcoaches with 52 seats providing extra legroom, comfortable reclining seats with three-point seatbelts and armrests, onboard washrooms, free WiFi, power and USB outlets, and footrests, cupholders, and are all wheelchair accessible. Base fares between Grande Prairie and Edmonton will be $87 one way.
